Moscow, February 12, 2021 – The Association of Quality Consumables Manufacturers and Suppliers (AQCMS) and Information Agency “Business-Inform” organized and held the online-conference “New Chinese Cartridges are Mythbusters of Common Facts”. The conference saw participation by the representatives of 116 Russian companies.
During the Conference two reports were presented:
- The Modern Market of Office printing Equipment and Consumables – Main Tendencies and perspectives. The Industry Changes Itself – New Brands, New Models, New Quality (Stanislav Malinskiy, “Business-Inform” Group)
Theses of the report:
— The Russian market of office printing devices during 2016-2020 – dynamics, leaders, tendencies, and perspectives; open and alternative markets – economic sanctions and Federal Law #187 became evident market drivers, for long?; advertised and real leaders of the Russian market during 2019-2020; recommended brands and suppliers of office printing devices – presenting the best ones for 2019-2020.
— The issues of informational and environmental safety for office printing systems; certification of products supplied on the Russian market – what is confirmed by certificates, and can they be trusted; RoHS, REACH, and the Russian legislation requirements.
— Supplying for 2021-2025 – guaranteed growth of the alternative market and the stagnation of the open; the industry is changing – new brands, new models, new quality; the future lies in professionalism, competence and knowledge.
— New and remanufactured cartridges; the dynamics of the Russian market during 2016-2020; open and alternative markets – economic sanctions and Federal Law #187 became evident market drivers; why the alternative market is not a market “for everyone”?; recommended brands and suppliers of consumables – presenting the best ones for 2019-2020.
— The remanufacturing of laser cartridges in Russia during 2016-2020 – statistics, tendencies, issues; does the Russian industry exist, anyway?; YES or NO, the results of testing of cartridges remanufactured in Russia and abroad; comparing the number of prints, sustainability, possibility to remanufacture, and price; manipulations and lies of sellers and suppliers – a result of incompetence or desire for quick profit?; recommendations in choosing products and partners in Russia and abroad; introducing new International companies and their products.

— Quality cartridges on the Russian market – the statistics of sales and remanufacturing, main brands and suppliers; main cartridge characteristics and their evaluation – quality of prints, sustainability, possibility to remanufacture, and price.
— Testing of cartridges presented on the Russian and International markets; are the NBCs truly of a single-use?; are remanufactured cartridges really being remanufactured OEM-cartridges; are NBCs being really toxic and OEM-cartridges environmentally friendly?; is it true that the quality of OEM-cartridges exceeds that of NBCs?; does the name of the manufacturer always mean a guarantee for quality?
— Facts that we grew accustomed to become myths, but they are still declared, published and foisted on us. What is it, not-knowing, incompetence, or lack of argumentation in support of one’s own business? The analysis of the information presented on the web-sites of Russian companies – the evident and the improbable.
— Presentation of new products from the International and the Russian markets – environmentally-safe cartridges from Europe and China, their manufacturers, sustainability, possibility to remanufacture, quality of prints and price; the results of the Russian testing; first containers of environmentally-safe products are already in Russia!; presenting suppliers and their offers.
In the end of the Conference, the Participants thanked the organizers and speakers and expressed the wish to continue the discussion of the urgent issues of the office printing industry within the framework of other Online Conferences for Russian corporative buyers of printing devices and consumables.
The presentations, reports texts and the testing results presented during the conference will be published in informational release “Testing and Quality” (February, 2021), and the article “New Chinese Cartridges are Mythbusters of Common Facts” will be published in BUSINESS-INFORM Review magazine (issue #30, 2021).
