The OEM recently gained the right to offer managed print on G-Cloud 9 and now needs its channel partners to take the product to the public sector.

Computer Weekly reported that the MPS was designed specifically with the public sector and channel in mind making it achievable for resellers to “offer contracts” online or phone.

Brothers MPS and Omnijoin web conferencing system was accredited through G-Cloud which is a framework that “provides smaller suppliers with a chance to pitch for public sector business”. This has worked well so far as £1.6 billion ($2/(€1.8 billion) has been laid out on the governments digital marketplace with 56 percent of total sales and 64 percent of volume being awarded to SMEs.

Phil White, Managed Print Sales Manager, Brother UK, said: “A huge breadth of organisations in the public sector want to get access to the efficiencies and peace of mind that managed print services bring. We’ve seen some larger public sector organisations save six-figures off their printing bill through MPS and so we’re hoping our new cloud-based MPS will open up similar opportunities for smaller organisations.”
