KYOCERA Document Solutions America announced the introduction of the ECOSYS P8060cdn, a high-capacity, print-only device ideal for midsize companies and workgroups featuring its new toner technology.

The core print capabilities are full 1200×1200 dpi, up to 60-ppm in black and white and 55-ppm in colour, up to 12”x18” media support, with standard paper capacity of 1,150 sheets, expandable up to 7,150 sheets, with professional finishing capabilities.

“In terms of print functionality, the ECOSYS P8060cdn delivers everything our customers expect,” said Douglas Cole, Director of Product Marketing at KYOCERA Document Solutions America. “However, that’s only the beginning.”

The ECOSYS P8060cdn comes with Wi-Fi Direct and NFC capabilities for Android mobile devices. The printer is HyPAS-enabled, ready to run KYOCERA Mobile PrintTM, Apple AirPrint®, and Google Cloud PrintTM, as well as Kyocera’s security and cost control business applications, including AccessLockTM and CentraQ Pro®. All capabilities are easily accessible through the 9” colour touch-screen interface.

The ECOSYS P8060cdn features an innovative revolving toner system that simplifies mechanics and reduces energy requirements. The printer supports tiered-colour billing, as well as Kyocera Fleet Services (KFS) – a comprehensive cloud-based monitoring service that allows authorised dealers to handle many maintenance tasks for their customers without time-consuming on-site visits. Through KFS, dealers can anticipate issues and resolve them before they occur, and even update firmware remotely during off-hours, maximising uptime across the entire fleet.

The brilliant 1200×1200 print resolution is further enhanced by Kyocera’s new toner technology. Colours are deeper and more vivid, blacks are sharper and more well-defined – especially thin-ruled lines and smaller characters.

The ECOSYS P8060cdn uses toner engineered with smaller particles, which require less heat to fuse them to the page, reducing energy consumption. There is an ingenious, environmentally friendly toner container replacement system in which empty black toner containers can be re-used as waste toner containers, which minimises landfill waste – as does the Toner Locking System that ensures containers are completely empty before they are replaced.

“Kyocera has always offered some of the industry’s best high-performance print-only devices,” continued Cole. “With the ECOSYS P8060cdn, we’ve raised the bar once again.”

The ECOSYS P8060cdn is available through authorised Kyocera dealers at the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $6,188 (€5,539).
